Donate to the victims for the Kumamoto Japan earthquake
Earthquake Relief for Kumamoto, Japan, via ELCA
On April 14, a 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit Kumamoto, which has a strong Lutheran presence. Several strong aftershocks and another 7.3-magnitude earthquake have destroyed many homes, the death toll was 41, and thousands have been injured. Lutheran Disaster Response is assisting earthquake survivors. The Lutheran churches and schools in Kumamoto have offered havens for local people, and church leaders are providing much needed assistance. Gifts to the Japan Earthquake will assist those impacted by the earthquake, for as long as needed.
