Important notice regarding the CBTS Sanctuary
Friday, March 24, 2017
It has come to our attention that there are live bed bugs in the CBTS sanctuary. At the March 15th Lenten service a few people were bitten by insects. We had insect control technicians inspect the sanctuary and live bed bugs were discovered in at least 2 sections of pews in the sanctuary. On March 23rd all pews were spot treated with chemicals specifically used for bed bugs to kill as many insects as possible. In addition, we have scheduled to have the sanctuary tented and fumigated for bed bugs on Tuesday, March 28th overnight into Wednesday, March 29th. This fumigation will include the entire sanctuary, including our bathrooms, kitchen, and basement areas. This fumigation should completely eradicate the bed bugs and the sanctuary will be restored to full use as of the evening of March 29th. Out of caution, we are moving services this Sunday, March 25th into Ohana Lani; I encourage you to come and worship with us as usual. Our normal service schedule will be resumed next weekend, April 2nd. Ohana Lani was inspected and no evidence of bed bugs was found.
We deeply regret any inconvenience this has caused or will cause you; however, we felt you should know the situation in our sanctuary. If you have been bitten in the sanctuary in the past few weeks please feel free to call the Church office and speak to Lehua or you can reach out to me or any of the members of the Council of Deacons to discuss your concerns.
* Terminix has offered to do free home inspections for Calvary parishioners who feel that their home may be infected. Worshipers are asked to call Travis at Terminix at 808-265-7682.
