May 19, 2009

Dear Parents,

I can't believe this is our last week of school!  It's a busy week.

First, thank you for all your help and contributions to our walk-a-thon.  Our contest winners come from all three classes!  Nicolaas Fung - first place, Chloe Wales - second place, and we have a tie for third - Nicholas Benner and Grace Manring.  Congratulations!

Our Kite Day is this Thursday for the 3-6 year old classes.  This should be a fun event.  Thanks for all the parents willing to help.  Don't forget to send in your form.  Children should wear their CBTSMS t-shirt and covered shoes.  (8:30-11:30)

Friday morning the 3-6 year old classes will have a simple class closing ceremony for those children leaving our school including graduates, followed by a beach dayChildren should wear swim suits and sunscreen to school.  Please bring a change of clothes and a towel in a labeled bag.

Friday evening is our annual all school Potluck.  Come relax and socialize with our O'hana.  Bring a blanket to picnic on, a dish to share and we will see you on the ocean side of the chapel, beginning @ 5:00 - sundown.

Open House will be Saturday May 30th from 9:00 - 12:00.  If you have friends looking for a school, please invite them to attend.  We have flyers advertising this event.  Please help in getting the word out.  See Tricia for flyers, or take from the parents table.  We still have openings for summer school and September.  Check out our new web page.....

And most importantly we wish to congratulate our graduates for this year.  Conrad Chadwick, Charles Duval, Kainoa Eiserloh, Ethan Garland, Ethan Ho, Cayman Kirk, Corbin Lewis, Grace Manring, Lehuanani Osorio, Bridget Perkins, Carlie Schwarm, Kupono Silberstein, Gabriella Spargar and Chloe Wales.  These children have completed the full program at our school.  These children will certainly be missed and we wish them the best in their new schools.  We love visits from time to time.

Have a great summer.  We will see those attending summer school June 2nd, otherwise we will see you in September.

Much love,
Kay Burgoyne
